ROSENBERG — Chick-fil-A Rosenberg is raising money to support the family of East Bernard ISD Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Jeremy Jenkins and his wife, Brandy, following their deaths in a crash Saturday night.

The restaurant announced Monday that 100% of the proceeds from every cookie sold as part of its “Cookies for Coach” fundraiser through Aug. 31 will be donated directly to the Jenkins family.

The fundraiser also gives residents in East Bernard and Wharton an opportunity to participate locally.

Chick-fil-A Rosenberg’s food trailer is in East Bernard on Mondays, and the restaurant confirmed that cookie sales from the trailer will benefit the Jenkins family.

The trailer is also in Wharton on Thursdays, and Chick-fil-A Rosenberg confirmed that all cookie sales from its Wharton trailer on Thursday will also count toward the fundraiser.

Jeremy served as East Bernard ISD’s athletic director and head football coach, while Brandy was a teacher at East Bernard Junior High School. The couple leaves behind their three sons, Tyson, Gage and Jake.

Chick-fil-A Rosenberg said that although its restaurant is not located in East Bernard, it has served the community for more than 20 years.

“East Bernard has become part of our Chick-fil-A family, and we feel like we’ve become a small part of theirs,” the restaurant said in its announcement.

The fundraiser continues through Aug. 31. Cookies purchased at the Chick-fil-A Rosenberg restaurant, located at 24734 Southwest Freeway in Rosenberg, as well as qualifying food trailer stops in East Bernard and Wharton, will help support the Jenkins family.
