WHARTON — The City of Wharton says mosquito spraying is scheduled to continue Monday, June 1, through Thursday, June 4, weather permitting.
According to Wharton OEM, spraying will not take place if it rains or if wind speeds exceed 10 mph. The city will continue using a vapor-delivery system that converts insecticide into a fine mist.
Residents are encouraged to remove standing water from their property to help reduce mosquito breeding. While it is not mandatory to bring pets indoors during spraying, officials recommend minimizing their exposure to the spray.
