WHARTON COUNTY — The Wharton County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating the owner of nine head of cattle that were recently found in the Wharton area.

According to the sheriff’s office, the cattle were located on June 2 in the 500 block of County Road 146 near Wharton. Authorities have not identified the owner and are requesting assistance from anyone who may recognize the animals or have information about where they belong.

The sheriff’s office shared a photograph of the cattle and is encouraging residents to spread the word in hopes of reuniting the animals with their owner.
