WHARTON COUNTY, Texas — A Wharton County man was booked into jail on Sept. 3, 2026, after being sentenced to five years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for Online Solicitation of a Minor.
According to Wharton County Sheriff’s Office Captain B.J. Novak, the case involving Arnold Louis Escamilla Jr., 44, began in July 2025 after a report was filed with the Sheriff’s Office alleging inappropriate contact and communication with a female juvenile.
