EL CAMPO — Lost Lagoon RV Resort is inviting families, local businesses and vendors to take part in a Community Halloween Festival planned for Saturday, Oct. 31, from noon to 6 p.m.
The free, family-friendly festival will be held at Lost Lagoon, located at 665 County Road 451 in El Campo, and will feature trick-or-treating, carnival games, local vendors, food and other activities throughout the afternoon.
A Touch-A-Truck event will run from 1 to 3 p.m., giving children an opportunity to see and explore trucks, tractors, vehicles and other equipment brought out by participating businesses and organizations.
Organizers are also putting together a trick-or-treat trail where children can collect candy at participating stops throughout the festival.
Local businesses and vendors invited to participate
Lost Lagoon is encouraging area businesses and organizations to get involved by hosting trick-or-treat booths, operating carnival games, becoming vendors or sponsoring festival activities.
Businesses participating in the Halloween Carnival can decorate their areas, display company signage, hand out candy and promotional items and interact with families during the event. Lost Lagoon is also offering businesses the option to sponsor one of its carnival games for $100, with the resort providing the game and designated space.
The festival flyer also encourages businesses to bring a truck, vehicle, tractor or other piece of equipment for the Touch-A-Truck portion of the event.
Vendors are being invited to showcase their businesses, sell products and connect with local families, while businesses can also set up trick-or-treat booths with candy, games and decorated spaces.
Sponsorship opportunities available
Lost Lagoon is offering several ways for businesses to sponsor activities during the festival.
Businesses can sponsor one hour of free mini golf for $50. Other $100 sponsorship opportunities include cotton candy, s’mores and face painting. Sponsorships include recognition and signage at the sponsored activity.
The resort is also open to custom sponsorships for activities or festival features such as popcorn, costume contests, prizes, hay rides, a Halloween movie, candy, decorations and giveaways.
Lost Lagoon said the goal is to bring local businesses, organizations and families together for a community-focused Halloween celebration.
