WHARTON — William King Satterwhite, 55, was arrested by the Wharton Police Department on one count of stalking, according to official police and jail records.
WPD Incident Report No. 26000747 states that Satterwhite was arrested at approximately 8:46 a.m. Sept. 10. Wharton County Jail records show he was booked at 9:27 a.m.
The police report lists the alleged offense period as July 14 through Sept. 9. The matter was reported to police in person on Sept. 8.
The report identifies the alleged victim as male. Wharton Post is withholding his name and other identifying information because authorities have not released details about the circumstances of the case.
The report does not include a narrative describing the alleged conduct or explain the relationship between Satterwhite and the alleged victim.
Wharton Police Department Support Services Supervisor Tammy Rome provided the basic incident report to Wharton Post but said further information could not be released because the case remains active.
Rome said releasing additional details could interfere with the investigation or prosecution and potentially compromise the integrity of the case.
Under Section 42.072 of the Texas Penal Code, stalking generally involves repeated conduct directed at a specific person as part of the same scheme or course of conduct that meets statutory requirements involving threats, fear or harassment.
The report does not identify what specific conduct authorities allege occurred.
Wharton County Jail records show that Satterwhite posted a $20,000 bond and was released.
Satterwhite’s public LinkedIn profile identifies him as the owner of Crown Real Estate & Investment Group LLC and as a local real estate agent. The profile says he has promoted plans to develop approximately 500 acres along U.S. 59/I-69 in Wharton into a waterpark, RV resort and other commercial development.
